ABOUT

MONTFORT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (MCAA) is a non-political, voluntary organization of the past pupils, faculty members and associate members of Montfort School, Chabua. The purpose is for the dissemination and exchange of experience, knowledge and talent among its members and to encourage and support the socio-economic development of the community, while maintaining a responsible bond with our Alma Mater, scrupulously avoiding any interference in the day-to-day administration of the school.

The Objectives The objectives of the association shall specifically include the following:
1. To promote and uphold the mission objectives, philosophy of education, and statement of faith, life and conducts and strive to preserve and promote the heritage and lofty traditions of the school.
2. To foster and promote goodwill through mutual trust, respect and collaboration among the members of the association.
3. To achieve genuine two-way communication between the school and the alumni and to stimulate and encourage alumni response and initiative in collaborating with the school in its effort to provide better facilities to the students.
4. To create and maintain an awareness of alumni’s responsibility to provide strong support – service, to the school and society.
5. To create and establish endowments to grant scholarships and prizes to the students of the Montfort School, Chabua with a view to promote and encourage talent.
6. To channel the energies and potentials of the members towards constructive works in social, economic, educational and cultural fields.
7. To create and establish Alumni endowments for granting scholarships, and prizes to the students showing high proficiency in their studies and honour former students.
8. To raise or collect funds by subscriptions, contributions, donations, endowments, loans or by legal means for the furtherance of the above objectives of the Association, the institutions and the activities managed by the Association.
Who are the members? All the persons whose names are already appearing in the membership Register maintained by the Association and all those persons who are hereafter admitted to the various categories of members of the association by the Executive Committee and whose names are so recorded in the membership register. Governance: The management of the Association is by the Executive Committee consisting of 15 members. The body consists of a Patron, a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, two Jt. Secretaries, a Treasurer, and five plus three other members.
